Downtown Albuquerque with The Craigs

Looking for good eats walking along Central Ave. in Downtown Albuquerque we spot two musicians across the street. Drawn to them, we walk down the block and cross the street to listen. Mesmerized with their joy for playing music, I insisted we meet them.

I'm a fan of art, most any art really. I especially love graffiti and poetry. Art is born of inner passion. It takes so much courage to open a soul and express oneself for the rest of the world to see and hear. The fear of ridicule steps aside to allow for expression. To me, that takes incredible courage.

I love riding; what motorcyclist doesn't. But I could find roads near my home and ride everyday if that were all Road Pickle was about. Seeing the sights, staying in new cities, tasting the food, those are all exciting to me. But nothing compares to meeting new people. It's the people I came to meet. The men and women I've come across thus far on our Road Pickle trip, they are the reasons I mount up and ride time and again.

Listening to Andrew and Ben Craig play their music changed the course of my day. Perhaps that will change the course of my week, or my life. Who knows? But one thing I do know is that I would never have met them had I not packed up my tailbag and mounted up to ride.
