Sheila and Sash, Las Cruces

One of the last things we managed to do before hitting the road out of Las Cruces was to meet a local radio personality. While eating at El Ahuua Mexican Restaurant we met Sheila from local radio station KGRT 104. Sheila is filled with ideas of places to visit in Las Cruces, so we were excited to get an idea or two on video from her.


We have already listed a few of our "Bests" from our visit, but we were only in town for a week. Sheila informed us of many events that go on year round, one of which being in August. Green Chili Month, as it's affectionately called, is all about finding roasted green chilis everywhere one looks. She shared that the entire town smells of fresh, slow roasting chiles, and visitors come from far and wide to enjoy the delicacy. She went on to explain that the city is one event after the other, each month having it's own special festival or fiesta.
