Tuscon, AZ - Question on 4th Ave

Here we are in Downtown Tucson, AZ and enjoying the youthful, eclectic and creative scene. The streets are filled with herb shops, local art stores and great restaurants. Lunch at La Indita was especially delicious as I enjoyed my first taste of Indian Frybread on the trip. Believe me, I plan to have more.

I love hitting the great clothing shops, my favorite being The Razors Edge. The prices are what one would expect for a tourist-type area, but it's not often that I find the kind of things I want to pay this kind of money for. I found nique, edgy, contemporary and on-trend items that are well-made and good quality. The music scene is alive and well on the weekends and the entire community near the University being vibrant and popular. If you're looking for a new pipe, tattoo, used clothing, or a tremendous meal, head to "4th Ave" as the local call it, for it all.

We cooled down after a steamy stroll and enjoyed beverages at The Surly Wench Pub which has an authentic burlesque shows on Friday nights. One Friday a month the pub, which is known locally for the amazing spicy Bloody Mary's, hosts two shows of Black Cherry Burlesque striptease at 8 & 10pm. Not to be missed, the show guarantees thrills. But arrive early, as it's packed to the brim by 7pm.

We've loved our time in Tucson, but we need something from you, our readers. Please watch our video to see how you can help.

  1. Check out the Devil's Highway, formally labeled US 666, but now known as US Highway 191 or the Coronado Trail. Probably outside your 300 mile window for a starting point, but maybe a route out of Arizona in going north. Great bike road!

  2. Sounds good! If not this time, it goes on the list of "hopefully some day" but no guarantee this trip. We're mulling over some ideas.

What a wonderful time we had riding with you yesterday. It wouldn't be a complete trip to AZ without AZ Harley Dude!

  3. Sash, I know you are wanting to see some corn, so for that you should plan on being in Iowa in mid- to late-July. There's lots of beautiful riding here, with corn and so much more! Depending on where you're coming from and where you're headed, I'd love to take you on a tour! Regardless, it's a beautiful state any time so just holler when you're close!
